Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Special Educator role based in Varanasi. The Special Educator will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with developmental delays and disabilities, using evidence-based special education strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering classroom and one-on-one instruction, adapting curriculum and teaching materials, and monitoring student progress. The role involves collaborating closely with parents, therapists, and school staff to ensure coordinated support and effective interventions. The Special Educator will also participate in training and awareness activities, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Special Education and understanding of various Disabilities, with a focus on inclusive practices.
• Teaching experience, preferably at the Middle School level, with the ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs.
• Excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to conduct educational assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and track progress effectively.
• Relevant degree or certification in Special Education or related field.
• Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities in school or clinical settings is an advantage.
