Job summary

General Datum is seeking Spacecraft ADCS Engineer Interns to support development and testing of Attitude Determination and Control Systems for spacecraft. Ideal candidates study Aerospace/Mechanical/Space Engineering and enjoy hands-on simulation work.

Qualifications include exposure to Control Systems, Kalman Filtering, and programming in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++. Familiarity with ADCS components is a plus; strong analytical thinking and eagerness to learn are essential.

Job description

General Datum is looking for Spacecraft ADCS Engineer Interns interested in the development and support of Attitude Determination and Control Systems (ADCS) for spacecraft. The internship is suited for candidates with an academic background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Space Engineering, or related disciplines, with an interest in spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control.

Candidates should have knowledge or exposure to areas such as Control Systems, Classical and Modern Control Theory, Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Attitude Determination, Attitude Control, Orbital Mechanics, Sensor Fusion, Kalman Filtering, and Embedded Systems. Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C, and C++, along with ADCS components such as Reaction Wheels, Magnetorquers, Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Gyroscopes, Magnetometers, GPS, and IMUs, will be beneficial.
