Job summary

GALAXEYE SPACE SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Space Edge Computing Engineer to design and optimize onboard data pipelines that run on space-grade platforms. You will enable real-time processing, bandwidth optimization, and autonomous decision-making in space environments.

The role requires 1+ years of experience with C++ and Python, experience in embedded systems and Linux, and familiarity with SAR processing, remote sensing, and edge AI deployment. On-site in Bengaluru, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace, Robotics or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with embedded systems, Linux, performance optimization and parallel computing.
• Basic understanding of image processing, signal processing, or computer vision fundamentals.
• Experience in SAR processing, remote sensing, geospatial analytics, FPGA development, CUDA/OpenCL, ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, or edge AI deployment.
• Familiarity with satellite systems, space-grade hardware, CubeSats, or avionics software.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize onboard processing pipelines for SAR and MSI payloads.
• Convert raw payload data into Level-1 and Level-2 products on-orbit.
• Optimize compute, memory, power and storage on satellite hardware.
• Develop high-performance software using C++, Python, and Rust.
• Leverage CUDA/OpenCL, ONNX Runtime, and other frameworks for acceleration.
• Accelerate algorithms on FPGA, ARM, GPU and AI accelerators.
• Implement data compression and edge AI inference for space edge computing.
• Build simulation and validation frameworks for pre-flight testing.
• Collaborate with payload, avionics, mission ops, and AI teams.
