Job summary

Chain IQ Group AG is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead sourcing initiatives across Professional Services and Marketing Services. You will partner with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost optimization, risk management and innovative sourcing strategies.

The role requires strong category expertise, stakeholder management, and ability to lead high-value projects in a global environment. Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus, and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or equal (bachelor’s degree)
• Experienced in Sourcing Operations and Procurement processes and best practice
• Minimum (8+ years) of progressive experience in indirect procurement with preferred 1+ years in specific category of Professional Services in an international (corporate) environment
• Experience in review, negotiation, and execution of contracts with vendors with strong negotiation skills.
• Experienced in conducting tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
• Specific know-how in Sourcing of BPO, Marketing, Business Consulting, Personnel Services, Audit, Tax and other professional services is preferred.
• Problem-solving, relationship management, escalation management and influencing skills with a strong customer-service orientation
• Good interpersonal, analytical, communication skills. A delivery-focused sourcer and a team player. Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Excellent English - written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in German language is plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Role Purpose

As a Senior Consultant within the Professional Services Category team, you will lead sourcing initiatives and manage complex procurement activities across a range of Professional Services (e.g., Business Consulting, Audit, HR, Legal, IT Consulting, etc.) and Marketing Services. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value through cost optimization, commercial excellence, risk management, and innovative sourcing strategies. This role requires strong category expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead high-value sourcing projects in a dynamic global environment.

Category Strategy & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the subject matter expert for indirect categories – Professional Services (e.g., Business Consulting, Audit, HR, Legal, IT Consulting, etc.) and Marketing Services


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across business functions and geographies.


• Build and maintain stakeholder engagement plans and category-specific communication strategies.


• Proactively foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues in and across the region(s) to deliver defined business goals.


• Identify business needs and translate them into sourcing and procurement strategies that support organizational objectives.


• Ensure effective supplier relationship management for strategic and preferred suppliers.


• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.


• Conduct spend, contract and market analyses to identify savings opportunities, efficiencies and sourcing risks.


• Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation through effective sourcing practices.


• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal contractual, financial, and operational outcomes.


• Support contract reviews and negotiations to ensure commercial robustness and risk mitigation.


• Design and execute sourcing events, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, eAuctions and competitive tender processes.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier proposals and support decision-making.
