Job summary

Chera Home Junction (A Unit of Vaanam Furnishings Pvt Ltd) in Coimbatore seeks a Retail Sourcing Manager to lead category management, supplier negotiations, and inventory decisions. You will drive strategic sourcing across home decor and utensils, build supplier networks, and optimize stock to meet sales goals.

The role requires a strong background in retail sourcing, excellent negotiation and analytics, and the ability to collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Engineering.
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Retail Sourcing Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within organized retail.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Retail Sourcing Manager
Company: Chera Home Junction (A Unit of Vaanam Furnishings Pvt Ltd)
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management and Product Sourcing:

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for multiple categories that include Household utensils, Home Decors, aligning with the company's objectives and market trends.
• Source a wide range of product assortment from various manufacturers and suppliers across India, ensuring product quality and competitive pricing.
• Identify new product opportunities and stay updated with industry trends to keep the category assortment fresh and relevant.

1. Supplier Management and Negotiation:

• Cultivate strong relationships with existing suppliers and constantly evaluate their performance to ensure consistent product supply and service levels.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers, conducting due diligence and negotiating favourable terms and conditions to maximize cost efficiencies.

1. Inventory Management and Sales Analysis:

• Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory costs.
• Analyse sales performance, consumer behaviour, and market trends to make informed decisions for assortment planning and stock replenishment.

1. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
• Coordinate with Sales and Product teams to ensure adequate product knowledge is available for customer-facing teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Engineering.
• MBA preferred.
• 812 years of experience in Retail Sourcing Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within organized retail.
• Selected candidate shall receive salary ranging from INR 60,000 to 80,000 per month based on qualifications and experience in the retail sector. Additional benefits such as health insurance, leave entitlements, and performance-based incentives will also be provided.
• Strong network and sourcing experience in furniture or furnishings or home dcor or steel utensils market or all above, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing a diverse product portfolio.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in inventory management and supply chain practices.
