Description

Leading Global Technology Research & Advisory Firm. Join the Sourcing Consulting team as a Principal Consultant to advise clients on outsourcing and sourcing transactions, design target operating models, and lead large or mega‑deal engagements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years recent experience in consulting engagements within the outsourcing industry, including large consulting firms, specialty practices, or participation in transformation programs in large consulting companies/global captives.
• Significant deal‑advisory experience; advised clients on ITO or BPO sourcing transactions or led and managed such deals at service providers with direct client‑facing exposure.
• Strong understanding of global corporate large‑deal practice – win drivers, solution design, cost levers, and agreed service level agreements.
• Experience/knowledge of transformation initiatives focusing on shared services, operational improvement, and outsourcing/offshoring strategies.
• Ability to perform assessment projects evaluating clients’ current IT environment, process maturity, spend analysis, cost breakdown, and overall cost optimization opportunities.
• Well‑versed in digital technologies such as Gen AI, Cloud, and digital solutions; ability to integrate these into large deal solutions across application services, infrastructure services, BPO services, industry BPO services, or ERP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial management and financial modelling; ability to develop business cases for global outsourced services and service providers.
• Experience advising on IT strategy deals, target operating models, and operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of industry trends in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) space is a plus.
• Business development and sales experience – prospecting, lead qualification, proposal writing, sales calls, and sales support.
• Working knowledge of Tier 1 & Tier 2 outsourcing vendors’ capabilities and offerings.
• Practice development – sales/marketing collateral, IP, solution development.
• Knowledge‑sharing: deliver sessions, case study presentations, workshops.
• Delivery, program, or project management – managing teams, client relationships, multi‑project oversight.
• Deep understanding of the full sourcing lifecycle and IT contract terminology.
• Skilled in data analysis, market sourcing comparisons, gap/opportunity analysis, change readiness, delivery model alternatives, and service delivery strategy.
• India‑leveraged consulting role: work with global client stakeholders and ISG onsite consultants on advisory engagements; lead project workstreams or full engagements.
• Active participation in pre‑sales: proposals, presentations, and client‑ready materials.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills in English; cultural alignment; ability to engage diverse global stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in a technical or scientific field (required).
• MBA/MS or other advanced degree (desirable).

Travel

10% – 20% required depending on project needs.

• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and client teams to ensure successful delivery and guidance.
• Facilitate client workshops and presentations; translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
• Conduct data analysis, benchmarking, and market sourcing comparisons.
• Contribute to business cases, client presentations, and sourcing‑strategy deliverables.
