Job description

Requirements & Experience

• Knowledge of SONiC SAI for development of new features and integration
• Hands‑on experience with Redis‑DB
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience network ASIC architecture and SDK development/integration
• Hands‑on experience with open source Layer 2 protocols (teamd, STP) and L3 (FRR – BGP, OSPF) networking protocols
• Architectural knowledge of data center design (Leaf/Spine, CLOS) and distributed systems
• Ability to take a project from scoping to actual delivery meeting customer requirements
• Excellent written and communication skills with an ability to influence peers and customers

Basic Qualification

• 5+ Years of Software development including
• Programming experience with C/C++/Python/go
• Experience in Design, development and testing of Data Center Networking infrastructure and protocols
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and computer science fundamentals
• Hands on experience with linux TCP/IP networking, Netlink

Technical Requirements

• Core Focus: Sonic Networking OS (SONiC) integration with various platforms and SAIs (Switch Abstraction Interfaces)
• SAI Vendors: Broadcom, Cisco SAI, or any other SDK providers

Primary Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in community-based SONiC environments
• Experience with SONiC SAI is preferred
• Open to candidates with L2/L3 network protocol development experience if SONiC-specific talent is not available
• Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker) is important
• Trainability: Candidates with strong NOS experience (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and good debugging skills will be considered even if SONiC-specific exposure is limited
