Job summary

One World Global Services is seeking experienced interpreters for Somali/Swahili. This fully remote role supports per-minute or fixed rates with monthly payments and flexible full-time or part-time schedules.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years interpreting experience, strong English proficiency, and excellent communication skills. You will handle calls professionally, learn industry terms, and report to a team leader after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Somali/Swahili required with near-native proficiency.
• 2+ years of interpreting experience preferred.
• Excellent listening, note-taking and memory skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, following interpreter conduct.
• Familiarize with industry vocabulary, especially healthcare/medical.
• Participate in internal training and onboarding.
• Communicate and report to team leader promptly.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language.
• 2+ years of interpreting experience (Desirable).
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance of diverse cultures.
• High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
