Qualifications

• Experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, pre-sales, or related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience understanding customer business and technical requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, or solution discussions to customers or partners.
• Experience working collaboratively with sales, technical, and cross-functional teams throughout a sales cycle.

Your Impact

As a Technical Sales Professional, you will own the technical relationship with customers and partners, serving as a trusted technical advisor and Cisco brand ambassador. You will work closely with account teams and cross‑functional sales teams to understand customer business priorities, translate them into technical requirements, and design and present relevant Cisco solutions. You will play a key role throughout the technical sales process—from identifying and landing opportunities to expanding Cisco’s footprint within existing accounts—while helping customers achieve their desired business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and refine technical sales approaches aligned to clearly defined customer and partner requirements.
• Build strong knowledge of Cisco's portfolio and progressively develop specialization within a technical domain.
• Own technical relationships with customers and partners, engaging with IT teams, business stakeholders, decision‑makers, and implementers.
• Analyze customer environments, business requirements, market trends, and competitive positioning to identify and shape opportunities.
• Translate customer and partner business needs into technical requirements and recommend appropriate Cisco solutions.
• Contribute to customer account planning, solution design, demand generation, and enablement activities.
• Identify opportunities to expand Cisco's portfolio across areas such as networking, security, observability, and collaboration.
• Lead technical engagements, presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions tailored to specific customer scenarios.
• Use market trends and competitive insights to effectively position Cisco solutions and support competitive displacement.
• Collaborate with account teams, business entities, sales teams, partners, and other internal resources to drive customer success.
• Manage and coordinate virtual technical support resources throughout the sales cycle.
• Provide feedback to business entities and relevant sales teams on strategic customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive trends.
• Share best practices and contribute to the development of technical and educational materials.
• Adapt workflows and approaches to effectively respond to changing customer and business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, pre‑sales, or related customer‑facing technical role.
• Experience understanding customer business and technical requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, or solution discussions to customers or partners.
• Experience working collaboratively with sales, technical, and cross‑functional teams throughout a sales cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of enterprise technology solutions and experience developing expertise within a technical domain.
• Experience with Cisco technologies and/or enterprise networking, security, observability, or collaboration solutions.
• Understanding of competitive technology landscapes and experience positioning solutions against competitors.
• Strong customer engagement, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate complex customer organizations and build relationships with technical and business decision‑makers.
