Job summary

AWS India - Maharashtra is seeking a Solutions Architect for our Financial Services Industry team. You will own technical engagements with enterprise clients, design secure, scalable cloud solutions, and lead AI/ML modernization initiatives across banking, capital markets, and insurance workloads.

You will conduct Well-Architected reviews, build PoCs, and collaborate with cross-functional AWS teams to deliver end-to-end cloud transformations that drive business value and high customer

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Financial Services Industry (FSI) team at AWS India is looking for a Solutions Architect to work with our enterprise banking, insurance, capital markets, and fintech customers. You will help India's leading financial institutions leverage AWS to modernize their technology landscape, build innovative digital products, drive cloud-native transformation, and adopt AI/ML and Generative AI to unlock new business value.

As a Solutions Architect, you will own the technical engagement and success of specific customer projects, develop deep expertise in AWS technologies, and understand how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to CTOs, CIOs, and engineering leaders at India's most prominent financial services organizations.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with assigned FSI customers, acting as their trusted cloud advisor and driving architectural best practices across their AWS journey.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions for banking core modernization, payments infrastructure, insurance platforms, and capital markets workloads.
• Conduct Well-Architected Reviews and provide actionable recommendations across reliability, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence pillars.
• Build and deliver Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical demonstrations to validate architectural approaches, accelerate customer decision-making, and remove technical blockers.
• Guide customers on adopting Generative AI and AI/ML services (Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Comprehend) for use cases such as document processing, fraud detection, customer engagement, and risk analytics.
• Partner with AWS Specialist teams (Analytics, Security, Migration, Containers, Serverless) to implement end-to-end solutions addressing complex multi-domain requirements.
• Advise on cloud migration and modernization strategies including re-platforming legacy on-premises workloads, containerization, serverless adoption, and data platform modernization.
• Present architecture patterns, best practices, and case studies to customer technical communities, C-Suite executives, and at AWS events/summits.
• Identify repeatable patterns, contribute to internal knowledge repositories, and author customer-facing content such as reference architectures and whitepapers.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and customer success teams to drive workload adoption, revenue growth, and long-term customer satisfaction.

The FSI Solutions Architecture team at AWS India serves some of the country's largest and most innovative financial institutions. Our team is geographically distributed across Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Gurugram, working closely with enterprise customers on their most critical technology transformation initiatives.

We operate at the intersection of deep technical expertise and customer obsession. Our Solutions Architects are hands-on builders who design and validate architectures, engage with CxO-level stakeholders, and drive measurable business outcomes. Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience in networking fundamentals, security, databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in building live-demos and prototypes
• Solid understanding of Generative AI concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience working with data and analytics
• AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
