Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Solutioning Manager to lead Pharma pre‑sales at MathCo. You will personally drive client engagements and proposal development while managing and mentoring a team running multiple pursuits in parallel. The right candidate brings deep Pharma & healthcare domain expertise, a structured approach to Data Science, Analytics & Gen AI solutioning, and the ability to operate with speed in managing a dynamic pipeline. This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role at the intersection of Pharma domain expertise, advanced analytics, and GenAI. You will play a central role in shaping MathCo's Pharma go‑to‑market strategy while building a team and capability for scale.
Client Engagement & Deal Pursuit
- Lead client conversations across the full pre‑sales cycle – from initial discovery through solutioning, proposal submission, and deal closure.
- Build trust with Pharma stakeholders by demonstrating strong domain knowledge and a clear understanding of their business challenges.
- Make confident, well‑reasoned decisions on solution approach, scope, and commercials.
- Ensure seamless handoffs to delivery teams’ post‑deal closure and maintain pipeline momentum across multiple active pursuits.
Proposal Development
- Develop high‑quality, client‑ready proposals that are commercially compelling and operationally realistic.
- Scope solutions in close collaboration with delivery leads to ensure alignment between what is sold and what can be executed.
- Manage multiple proposals across multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.
People Management & Mentoring
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of solutioning professionals working across parallel pursuits.
- Review solutions with internal SMEs to ensure proposals have the domain and technical depth before client submission.
- Coach team members on US Healthcare & Pharma domain knowledge, solutioning frameworks, and client communication.
- Build a scalable, high‑output proposal & solution‑demo function within the Pharma vertical.
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Contribute to and track incremental revenue targets for the Pharma vertical.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support pipeline development.
- Collaborate with US‑based sales and client stakeholders to prioritize and qualify opportunities.
Technical Solutioning
- Identify opportunities across Pharma & Healthcare value chain where technical solutioning can drive meaningful business impact – from predictive models and advanced analytics to AI‑powered automation.
- Incorporate technical solution concepts – including agentic architectures, RAG pipelines, LLM‑integrated workflows, ML models, and data engineering foundations – into proposals and client narratives.
- Articulate the right tool for the right problem, knowing when a classical ML approach, a statistical model, or a GenAI solution is the most appropriate fit for a given client challenge.
- Stay current on the evolving Machine Learning, Data Engineering across different stacks, GenAI landscape and translate relevant developments into actionable solutioning POVs.
Content & Capability Development
- Partner with MathCo's US stakeholders to co‑create Pharma thought leadership content, POVs, and solution narratives.
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable assets including solution decks, demos, and playbooks.
- Foster a connected Pharma community within MathCo, bridging practitioners, SMEs, and delivery teams across geographies.
Skill Requirements
- Technical Expertise
- 6–9 years of experience in Pharma consulting, analytics, or pre‑sales and solutioning roles.
- Strong domain expertise across Pharma Commercial, R&D / Clinical, and Medical Affairs.
- In‑depth knowledge of the US healthcare ecosystem, including key data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, Claims), systems, and payer‑provider‑pharma dynamics.
- Working knowledge of GenAI architectures and their applied use cases in the Pharma context.
- Business Expertise
- Demonstrated experience across 3–5 Pharma engagements with a clear understanding of how these projects are scoped, structured, and delivered.
- Proven ability to manage multiple proposals and client pursuits simultaneously.
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across client and internal audiences.
- Decisive and comfortable operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
