Role Summary

Seeking a Solution Lead to bridge Product Owners and Engineering by translating business requirements into scalable, resilient, enterprise-aligned technical designs and guiding Java-based delivery across payments systems (transaction processing, messaging, integrations).

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Functional-to-Technical Translation

• Work closely with Product Owners to understand functional requirements
• Convert business requirements into detailed technical solution designs
• Identify design gaps, edge cases, and non‑functional requirements early
• Drive requirement clarification workshops where needed

End-to-End Solution Ownership

• Own overall solution architecture for assigned initiatives
• Produce high‑level and low‑level design documents
• Define integration patterns (batch, file‑based, APIs, messaging, queues)
• Ensure design alignment with enterprise architecture principles

Technical Leadership

• Guide and mentor development teams during implementation
• Review code and design artifacts for quality and scalability
• Identify performance, concurrency, and integration risks upfront
• Ensure solutions meet reliability, resiliency, and scalability expectations

Payments & Domain Alignment

• Design solutions for payment processing workflows
• Understand transaction lifecycles, exception handling, reconciliation flows
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational controls
• Anticipate domain‑specific edge cases (timeouts, retries, duplicates, reversals, etc.)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with QA, middleware, infrastructure, and operations teams
• Support production issue analysis and root cause identification
• Continuously improve solution patterns and reusable components

What You Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

Must‑Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience in Core Java
• Solid understanding of OOP, collections, multithreading, concurrency
• Working knowledge of Servlets and Spring (used selectively)
• Experience in JVM memory management and performance tuning
• Familiarity with Java design patterns

Integration & Processing

• Experience with batch and file‑based processing systems
• Strong understanding of messaging and queue‑based systems
  • IBM MQ or similar platforms
  • Asynchronous processing concepts
  • Retry mechanisms, DLQ handling, idempotency
• Experience designing API‑based integrations
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

Architecture & NFR Awareness

• Understanding of scalability, resiliency, and high availability
• Awareness of security principles in transaction systems
• Exposure to distributed systems and enterprise integration patterns

Leadership & Communication Skills

• Strong ability to articulate technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience working directly with Product Owners and business teams
• Ability to challenge requirements constructively
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving mindset
• Experience leading design reviews and driving technical decisions

Nice‑to‑Haves

• TOGAF certification (good to have)
• Java or middleware certifications (good to have)
