Role Summary
We are seeking a senior, hands-on Java Solution Architect with a strong solutioning mindset, deep technical credibility, and the ability to operate confidently across clients, senior management, architects, and engineering teams. The candidate must be equally comfortable shaping enterprise-level architecture, discussing strategy with CXO and senior stakeholders, and going deep into low-level design, code-level decisions, integration patterns, performance, security, and implementation trade-offs.
This role requires a forward-thinking technology leader who can design scalable Java, cloud, integration, and AI-enabled solutions while also leading teams through delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong Java/J2EE and Spring Boot experience, practical exposure to AWS, Azure, and GCP, good domain affinity, and the ability to articulate solution relevance within a chosen business domain, preferably Financial Services. The candidate should also contribute effectively to RFP and solution responses and demonstrate the learning agility to continuously evaluate, adopt, and guide teams on emerging technologies including Generative AI and Agentic AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise-scale applications, modernization programs, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Define solution blueprints, architecture roadmaps, and technical strategies that balance business value, delivery feasibility, risk, cost, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Translate complex business problems into pragmatic, scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions.
- Establish architecture standards, design principles, and governance processes.
- Technology Leadership
- Design and review microservices-based architectures using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, APIs, messaging, event-driven patterns, and enterprise integration frameworks.
- Lead API-first, event-driven, and integration-centric architectures.
- Define system integration patterns across enterprise applications, third-party platforms, SaaS solutions, and legacy systems.
- Guide engineering teams on design patterns, coding standards, low-level design, code quality, performance tuning, security practices, and technical troubleshooting.
- Architect cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Drive application modernization, migration, cloud transformation, and legacy integration initiatives with a practical delivery-oriented approach.
- Design highly available, scalable, and secure solutions leveraging cloud services and container platforms.
- Design and architect Generative AI and Agentic AI-based enterprise solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate LLMs, AI orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and intelligent automation capabilities.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, assess their practical relevance, and guide responsible adoption across client engagements.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and architecture patterns for AI-enabled business solutions.
- Participate in RFP, RFI, and solution response activities.
- Prepare compelling technical proposals, solution narratives, effort estimates, architecture diagrams, assumptions, risks, and delivery approaches.
- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, technical deep dives, executive discussions, and solution demonstrations.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and practice teams in winning new business.
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage effectively with clients, senior management, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, delivery leaders, and engineering teams.
- Present architecture recommendations, solution options, trade-offs, risks, and technology strategies clearly to executive and technical audiences.
- Lead, mentor, and coach architects, technical leads, and development teams to improve engineering quality and delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrate sufficient domain understanding to connect technology choices with business outcomes, preferably within Financial Services, banking, capital markets, wealth, payments, or insurance contexts.
