Job summary

Epam Systems is seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect with deep MEAN stack expertise to lead design and development of scalable cloud-based applications. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients across cross-functional groups to deliver end-to-end, modern full-stack solutions on the cloud.

The role requires 12+ years total experience, strong Angular/Node.js skills, and deep AWS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 12+ years of total work experience.
• 6+ years designing and developing front-end apps, microservices, REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Angular and Node.js.
• Deep MEAN stack expertise.
• AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda) and related services.
• Container orchestration and serverless architectures (EKS, DynamoDB).
• TypeScript and Java development background.
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and DB2 (Legacy).
• Experience with Splunk and API testing tools like Cucumber.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
• Provide hands-on technology leadership across full-stack development initiatives

• Lead and mentor technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Database, CTO organization, and API Economy
• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements and present architectural solutions
• Remove ambiguity from complex problems and drive clarity in project execution
• Ensure adherence to agile methodology throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Oversee integration, monitoring, and testing strategies across the tech stack

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar; Master's degree in Computer Science
• 12+ years of overall work experience
• 6+ years of experience designing and developing front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
• Proficiency in Angular and Node.js
• Deep expertise in the MEAN stack
• Expertise in Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and additional AWS services such as Kinesis, Firehose, and CloudWatch
• Skills in container orchestration and serverless architectures using EKS and DynamoDB
• Background in TypeScript and Java development
• Knowledge of databases, including DynamoDB and DB2 (Legacy)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, and testing tools, including Cucumber and API Testing Tools
• Experience working in agile methodology
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to lead teams while dealing with ambiguity
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
