Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Domain Specialist with expertise in Medical Image Processing and DICOM standards to join our healthcare technology team. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of medical imaging modalities with strong analytical and technical skills to drive innovation in medical image analysis, diagnostic workflow optimization, and integration of DICOM-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering and clinical teams to define and validate image processing algorithms and DICOM workflows.
- Develop, test, and optimize medical image processing techniques for modalities such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray.
- Interpret and implement DICOM standards, including image acquisition, storage, transmission, and parsing.
- Support integration and validation of DICOM communication between medical devices, PACS, and healthcare systems.
- Collaborate in R&D initiatives focused on computer vision, AI/ML models for diagnostic imaging, and automation of image analysis.
- Conduct performance evaluation and validation of medical imaging algorithms in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide domain expertise in biomedical imaging during product design, development, and clinical validation phases.
- Prepare technical documentation, research papers, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Expertise:
- Strong domain knowledge in Medical Imaging, Radiology, and Biomedical Signal Processing.
- Hands-on experience with DICOM protocols, image parsing, and metadata analysis.
- Proficiency in Python / C / C++ for medical image processing and algorithm prototyping.
- Experience with OpenCV, SimpleITK, VTK, or similar libraries for image analysis.
- Understanding of AI/ML-based image classification, segmentation, and enhancement techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and PACS/RIS systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Educational Qualification:
- Ph.D. or M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Computer Science, or related field with focus on DICOM and medical image processing.

- Prior experience in the medical devices or healthcare software industry.
- Involvement in research publications, clinical collaborations, or FDA/CE-certified product development.
