Qualifications

• 5+ years in an architect role
• Strong foundation in CS fundamentals, web apps & services, and microservices architecture

You will steer technical strategy, align teams on best practices, and guide delivery across Java/Spring Boot services and React/Angular front ends on cloud-native stacks like Azure, Kubernetes, and PCF.

Responsibilities

• Design software solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable while meeting business requirements
• Drive the technology strategy for one or more products in partnership with stakeholders
• Partner with senior technical and product leaders to shape impactful designs and decisions
• Work with global Solution Architecture & Engineering teams to define principles and best practices
• Coordinate with wider technical and architecture teams to maintain alignment with organizational strategy
• Compare and validate technical alternatives using current and emerging technologies
• Guide implementation using microservices-based architecture for fintech applications
• Support development teams through mentoring to strengthen technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with product owners and operations to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery
• Promote agile development principles and strengthen a collaborative team culture
• Provide hands-on assistance by building prototypes and tackling complex technical challenges
• Champion technical quality and long-term, sustainable solution design

Requirements

• Proven product engineering background designing scalable software solutions, with 5+ years in an architect role
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, web applications & services, and microservices architecture
• Experience designing high-transaction-volume financial systems requiring global scalability and extreme uptime
• Hands-on expertise with HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks including React and Angular
• Expert proficiency in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot for back-end development
• Solid experience using PostgreSQL or SQL Server in large-scale implementations
• Exposure to cloud-native technologies such as PCF, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS
• Ability to work effectively in Agile environments built on collaboration and iteration
• Demonstrated mentoring skills to elevate teams and encourage continuous technical improvement
• Comfort supporting hands‑on prototype development to solve business challenges
• Strong communication capability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Hands-on expertise with Java, J2EE, RESTful APIs, React, and Angular
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
• Familiarity with API tooling and large-scale API design best practices
• Understanding of cloud and DevOps architecture, especially with Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases
