Amazon Web Services India is seeking a Solutions Architect to help customers plan their cloud journey and craft scalable, secure architectures on AWS. You will drive technical discussions with engineering teams, sellers, and partners to translate business needs into practical cloud solutions.

Qualifications

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

As a Solutions Architect, you will help your customers plan their successful cloud journey. You will solve complex, technical challenges so your customers can focus on their business. This includes using your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You will drive or take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams.

Key job responsibilities

Building relationships to understand our customers and partners is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you will use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You will help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals. Speeding up the adoption of our services will be part of your day to day.

You will also act as a thought leader in the wider community. This includes taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops. You will not just be part of an industry movement; you will be leading it.

As a customer obsessed advisor, you will also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services. This is through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.

A day in the life

In this role, your technical depth, business aptitude, and ability to steer technology discussions at all levels will enable you to shape the customer journey. Your thought leadership, ability to look beyond the technology, and more holistically at the value technology creates for our customers, is crucial to your success.

As a Solutions Architect you will own the overall technical relationship between customers, AWS and partners, and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. You will go beyond the technical solution architecture, work with partners, sellers and specialists to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology.

This role is within the ISV team in Amazon Web Services India, working with the customers to help drive AWS services adoption.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
