Job Title: Enterprise Architect – ERP, Migration & AMS (Build + Run Ownership)
Job Location: Chennai, India
Overview
This role owns end‑to‑end enterprise architecture, ERP transformation, application migration, and Application Management Services (AMS) across the organization’s engineering, enterprise, ERP, SaaS, AI, and cloud ecosystem. The Enterprise Architect ensures platforms are designed, migrated, implemented, and operated to be secure, scalable, compliant, stable, and cost‑effective, while supporting application separation, ERP transformation, and long‑term operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture across ERP (SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors), enterprise platforms (Microsoft 365, Power Platform), engineering and project applications, SaaS ecosystem, and AI‑enabled solutions. Define target architecture, transition states, and transformation roadmaps. Ensure architectural alignment across business functions, regions, and platforms. Act as the enterprise‑wide design authority.
- Lead ERP transformation (Oracle → SAP S/4HANA) and ownership (Build + Run). Define migration, coexistence, and cutover strategies. Own ERP lifecycle: Design → Build → Migrate → Hypercare → AMS Run → Continuous Improvement. Act as ERP platform owner, ensuring stability and business continuity.
- Architect application separation into new independent enterprise environments. Govern migrations with a structured lifecycle, drive SaaS adoption strategy, and decide on hybrid vs cloud, tool consolidation, and rationalisation. Ensure every application has a business owner, technical owner, and AMS support model.
- Define and govern AMS support structure (L1 / L2 / L3) 24x7 global support model, SLAs, and KPI frameworks. Ensure smooth transition from project → AMS Hypercare, availability, performance, and reliability of all systems. Drive incident, problem, and change management, root cause analysis, incident reduction, continuous service improvement, and automation.
- Define integration patterns (API, event‑driven, batch, middleware) and ensure seamless integration across ERP, enterprise platforms, and applications. Establish data ownership, governance, migration accuracy, and ensure systems are monitorable, traceable, and analytics‑ready.
- Architect Azure‑based enterprise platform and SaaS ecosystem. Ensure infrastructure supports ERP workloads, AMS monitoring, observability, high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable, cost‑optimized platform strategies.
- Lead architecture and adoption of AI/ML and intelligent systems, ensuring production‑readiness, governance under AMS, alignment with responsible AI principles, compliance monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Embed security, IAM, and compliance into all architectures. Act as governance authority across applications, ERP, and AMS. Define standards, patterns, and guardrails for enterprise systems.
- Lead vendor strategy, governance, and software asset management. Collaborate with procurement on licensing and contract optimisation. Manage system integrators, SaaS vendors, AMS service providers.
- Align architectural designs with real‑world operations (AMS). Work with engineering teams, DevOps, support team to reduce L2/L3 escalations, cost‑effective solutions, and build internal capability.
- Lead and mentor AMS teams, ERP teams, AI/ML teams, security & IAM teams. Build internal capability, reduce vendor dependency, reinforce Build–Run–Own model. Support hiring, training, and capability development.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in Enterprise / Solution Architecture roles.
- Strong experience in ERP transformation (Oracle → SAP S/4HANA), large‑scale application migration & separation, and AMS at scale.
- Proven ability to manage both transformation and operations (Build + Run).
- Experience with SAP ecosystem and enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud (Azure preferred) and hybrid architectures.
- Experience in multi‑vendor environments and governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
