Job summary

Teleport is seeking an experienced Enterprise/Software Architect to lead architectural design across cloud-native microservices and data platforms. You will drive solution architecture, define standards, and mentor teams while partnering with product managers to guide delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in Java, React, Flutter, GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and OpenAPI specifications, with strong communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software architecture and design with 10+ years in total.
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures for microservices and cloud-native environments.
• Strong knowledge of UML, OpenAPI specs, and design patterns.
• Experience with GCP, relational and NoSQL databases, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated mentoring of teams and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product team to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
• Create high-level solution designs and documentation (component diagrams, data design, sequence diagrams).
• Develop technical design documents and OpenAPI specifications.
• Lead collaboration with engineers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies via PoCs and drive adoption.

Job description

Experience

Around 10 years overall experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years in architecture and 8 years in software development and design.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.

Skills

• Proficient in Java, React, Flutter, GCP, RDMS (PostgreSQL), MongoDB, Redis, OAuth2.
• Strong expertise in UML, Markdown, OpenAPI Spec.
• Proficient knowledge in CI/CD processes and expertise in Version control systems.
• In-depth understanding of microservices and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and Notion.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies, specifically Docker & Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and proficiency in Jira.
• TOGAF (Enterprise architect) certification is preferred.
• Certification in GCP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of logistics domain is a plus.

Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering

• Collaborate with the Product team to gather business requirements.

Solution Design

• Resolve dependencies and ambiguities in business requirements.
• Create high-level solution designs.
• Prepare Solution Architecture Documents, including sequence diagrams, flow diagrams etc
• Develop technical design documents, including component diagram , class diagrams, data design, and OpenAPI specifications.

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality software.
• Assist the development team as needed during the implementation phase.

Technology Evaluation

• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) on emerging technologies.

Communication

• Exhibit excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Translate complex technical issues into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.

Mentorship

• Demonstrate a proven track record of mentoring teams in adopting new technologies.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the development team.

Certifications

• Maintain certifications in relevant areas, including GCP and TOGAF.
• Knowledge of the logistics domain is advantageous.

Agile Methodology

• Apply experience in Agile methodology to enhance project delivery.
