Job summary

Borgwarner Emission System in Bangalore seeks a Software Test Engineer with 4-7 years' experience to join our Battery Management System project. You will review software unit design, create test specs per Automotive SPICE and ISO26262, and execute unit and integration tests.

Collaborate with the development team across locations, contribute to test automation, analyze results, and drive quality improvements in a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing embedded software.
• Experience with Microcontrollers.
• Auris Platform preferred.
• Experience with Debuggers - UDE Debuggers preferred.
• Experience with Tessy.
• Experience with ISO26262.
• Good knowledge of the programming language C or C++.
• Knowledge of test and development tools (Tessy, Enterprise Architect, Polarion, Jira, SVN, Git).
• Good knowledge of English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically and Agile in approach.
• High quality awareness as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility as well as an independent, proactive way of working.
• Expertise in test automation toolchain (Jenkins, continuous integration, unit, module) desirable.
• Language knowledge in German

Job Purpose

You will be closely working with a Engineer of Software Testers in Bangalore. This team will be leading the Software Test part of a running Battery Management System project. You will be in close contact with our Software Testing Team located in Darmstadt, Germany. You will be responsible for a well running project, as well as driving improvements throughout the work products you deliver.
