Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Software Test Engineer to develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. You will perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios, supporting global engineering teams.

You will investigate defects, review technical documentation for accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and testing effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
• Experience in manual and automation testing of software applications.
• Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or comparable tools.
• Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Java, or equivalent languages for test automation.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and defect management tools, preferably Jira.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
