Job summary

Arcadis in Hyderabad is seeking a Software Support Specialist II to provide operational and technical support for Engineering platforms and applications, including Autodesk, Bentley and other enterprise tools. You will help ensure availability, security, maintenance and performance while coordinating changes, incidents and service improvements with platform teams.

The role requires 3+ years of enterprise application support, knowledge of licensing, cloud, virtualization, SSO and scripting

Qualifications

Role description:

The Software Support Specialist II provides operational and technical support for Engineering platforms and applications, including Autodesk, Bentley and other key enterprise tools. The role helps ensure applications are available, secure, well maintained and performing effectively, while supporting changes, incidents, workorders, automation, documentation and service improvements in collaboration with platform teams, vendors, infrastructure and security colleagues.

Role accountabilities:

• Provide operational and technical support for Engineering platforms and applications, including Autodesk, Bentley and other critical tools.
• Support application availability, licensing, performance, monitoring, capacity planning and service continuity across server, SaaS, cloud, database and virtual desktop environments.
• Coordinate and perform technical change activities, including patching, upgrades, releases, vulnerability remediation and application lifecycle maintenance.
• Support incident escalation, major incident recovery, problem management, root cause analysis, technical health checks and service improvement actions.
• Contribute to new application reviews, service onboarding, transition readiness and environment management in partnership with platform and business stakeholders.
• Support SSO, access governance, security hardening, compliance implementation and operational risk reduction across the application estate.
• Support software packaging, deployment, automation, scripting, configuration management, dashboards and workflow improvements.
• Provide technical input on application readiness, laptop and virtual desktop requirements, AR/VR support considerations and solution design where required.
• Work with vendors, infrastructure, security, service desk and platform teams to resolve issues, improve support processes and maintain effective service delivery.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks and operational information to support consistent and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, engineering applications, or technical operations in a global IT environment.
• 2+ years of experience supporting Engineering Applications such as Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, Bluebeam, Adobe, or similar AEC software platforms.
• Experience supporting application availability, licensing, monitoring, incident resolution, upgrades, patching, deployments, and lifecycle management.
• Experience working with cloud, SaaS, server, database, virtualization, and virtual desktop technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of security, SSO, access management, vulnerability remediation, software deployment, and configuration management.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, technical oubleshooting, and continuous service improvement.
• Knowledge of software licensing technologies such as FlexLM, FlexNet, Sentinel, CodeMeter, or similar solutions.
• Working knowledge of automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar technologies, with a passion for improving operational efficiency.
• Awareness of AI-enabled technologies and an interest in applying them to enhance automation, monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, and service delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across Platform, Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, vendor, and business teams.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, software packaging, and deployment of Engineering Applications is desirable.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Azure, Security, Automation, ITIL, Autodesk, Bentley, or related technologies are an advantage.
