Nasdaq Technology in Bangalore is seeking a Specialist - Software Engineering to design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions powering Nasdaq’s market platforms. You will work across the full development lifecycle and collaborate with teams in Bangalore and across Nasdaq globally.

The role requires 5–8 years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Java/Python/C++, RESTful APIs, databases, CI/CD, and Git.

Role Responsibilities

• As a Specialist - Software Engineering, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions.
• Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications for Nasdaq’s market platform.
• Write clean, well-tested code and conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering best practices.
• Support integration of platform components with internal and external systems.

Experience & Skills

• Experience Level: 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Primary Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++); experience with RESTful API design; knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork in a team environment.
• Education Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Computer Science.

Desired Experience

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with financial markets or trading platforms.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
