Job summary

US based MNC in Navi Mumbai is seeking a QC Lead with JAVA and Selenium Automation expertise to lead a global testing team.

The role focuses on test planning, design, execution and defect management, with emphasis on automation and continuous improvement. 8–10 years of relevant experience and ISTQB desirable are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test plan outlining approach, scope, resources and deliverables.
• Lead and mentor a team of software testers to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee creation of test cases and scripts; conduct functional, regression, performance and integration testing.
• Establish defect logging/tracking and ensure timely resolution with development teams.
• Evaluate feasibility of test automation and implement automated testing strategies.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and maintain testing documentation.
• Identify risks and communicate progress to stakeholders; drive continuous improvements.

Position- QC Lead (JAVA Selenium Automation)

Location- Ghansoli, Millenium Business Park, Navi Mumbai

Experience- 8 to 10 years

Roles & Responsibilities-

Test Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, scope, resources, schedule, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and define test objectives.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of software testers.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure that the testing team is working effectively to meet project deadlines.

Test Design and Execution:

• Oversee the creation of test cases and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Coordinate and execute various types of testing, such as functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.

Defect Management:

• Establish a process for identifying, logging, tracking, and managing defects.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Automation:

• Evaluate the feasibility of test automation and implement automated testing strategies where applicable.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Generate comprehensive test reports for project stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation related to testing processes, methodologies, and test cases.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess potential risks related to the testing process and implement mitigation strategies.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Implement and promote best practices for testing and quality assurance.
• Participate in retrospectives to identify areas for improvement in the testing process.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Additional Information:

• The position may require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is desirable.
