Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who blends structured software testing practices with modern, AI-assisted workflows. In this role, you will leverage generative AI tools (such as Gemini and ChatGPT) to accelerate test case generation, optimize test coverage, analyze edge cases, and streamline communication. You will be responsible for driving overall product quality, advocating for the user, and ensuring seamless execution across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy, Planning & AI Integration

• Generative AI Utilization: Utilize tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to draft, refine, and optimize comprehensive test plans, edge-case scenarios, and test data sets.
• Requirements Coverage: Map user stories and system specifications into detailed test cases to ensure zero coverage gaps.
• Test Maintenance: Continuously update, organize, and centralize test suites so they remain easy for any team member to understand and execute.

2. Test Execution & Defect Management

• Timely Execution: Conduct thorough functional, regression, and exploratory testing across target platforms.
• High-Quality Bug Reporting: Log clear, actionable defects complete with detailed steps to reproduce, visual evidence (screenshots/screen recordings), expected vs. actual results, and relevant logs.
• Lifecycle Tracking: Monitor defect statuses, perform thorough re-testing, and collaborate directly with developers to drive issues to resolution.
• Out-of-the-Box Testing: Think beyond standard paths to uncover non-obvious bugs, edge cases, and usability bottlenecks.

3. Productivity & Process Improvement

• AI-Assisted Efficiency: Leverage modern AI tools to automate repetitive task documentation, summarize bug reports, and optimize personal bandwidth.
• Performance & Tracking: Maintain clear records of deliverables against assigned targets, proactively communicating roadblocks or delays.
• Process Enhancement: Continuously identify opportunities to refine QA workflows, share best practices, and maintain centralized documentation.

4. Communication & Collaboration

• Active Status Reporting: Provide crisp, timely daily and weekly progress updates to project managers, leads, and stakeholders.
• Support Monitoring: Monitor incoming client or internal support requests, investigate reported issues, and provide timely technical feedback.
• Proactive Escalation: Identify high-priority blockers early and elevate them to technical leadership when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Functional understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience writing clear test plans, test suites, and bug reports.
• Experience integrating Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar) into daily QA workflows (e.g., prompt engineering for test case generation, synthetic data generation, or issue summaries).
• Strong analytical, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
