Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Gurugram, India, is seeking a software QA engineer to join the DP-COE team focusing on oscilloscopes, AWG, and related instruments.

You will design, develop, and execute automated test plans using C# and Python, and collaborate with R&D and software teams across the US, Europe, and Asia to ensure robust product quality.

The role requires 3+ years in product software QA and a degree in ECE/EE/CS, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of R&D experience in product software quality assurance.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test for Test and Measurement Instruments (Oscilloscopes, Quantum Control System (QCS), AWG etc.) using C# & Python.
• Solid understanding of electronics concepts and software testing principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and self-improvement, with a passion for software quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and validation for complex Oscilloscope Software.
• Define software test plans, write automated test suites, and test cases for Oscilloscopes, AWG, Digitizers, etc.
• Collaborate with R&D Project Manager, Product Planners, Product Architects, and HW/SW teams across locations in the US, Europe & Malaysia.

Responsibilities

DP-COE (Digital Photonics Center of Excellence), being part of Keysight Technologies has the responsibility for developing innovative products in the crucial portfolio segment of Oscilloscopes, Photonics, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator) , BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester), Digitizer, Logic & Protocol Analyzer which provide fast, extensive insight and enable engineering teams to do their job faster, with higher quality. We serve our customers in the Computer, Semiconductor, Wireless, Automotive, Storage and Communication, Quantum industries with leading edge products and solutions. Keysight Solution teams work closely with DP-COE to provide required solutions to these industries.

You will be responsible to performing Tests & Validation for complex Oscilloscope Software which would require breadth of knowledge. You will be responsible for performing test and validation tasks including defining the softwaretest plans, writing complex automated test suites,and test cases for Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Digitizers etc.

You will work closely with R&D Project Manager, Product Planners, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA & HW developers, Software engineers and Other Stakeholders The candidate should be a strong team player and should be able and willing to collaborate with other design teams located in US , Europe & Malaysia.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of R&D experience in product software quality assurance
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test for Test and Measurement Instruments (Oscilloscopes, Quantum Control System (QCS) ,AWG etc.) using C# & python.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools – Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket.
