About Role

First Advantage Corporation is looking for a QA Engineer to join a fast-paced, aggressive-growth company. This role requires working with a highly talented team of engineers to utilize the latest in software quality assurance technologies, striving for innovative solutions, quality code and on-time delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to ensure software quality.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to identify bugs or defects.
• Perform automated software load testing to identify performance issues.
• Perform software security testing to identify security flaws in the system.
• Document and track defects and their resolutions.
• Use test automation tools and frameworks to increase testing efficiency.
• Improve QA processes and explore best QA tools.
• Participate in planning and execution of software releases, ensuring components meet quality standards.
• Report quality metrics and test results to management and stakeholders.
• Engage as a technical expert in an Agile team environment.
• Provide feedback to the development team on potential improvements to ensure better testability.
• Collaborate and communicate with product and development teams.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

What We Are Looking For

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a quality assurance engineer or software tester with expertise in manual and automated testing.
• Ability to test applications manually and programmatically.
• Ability to test both API and UI components of software applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript to build and run automated test scripts.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools like Selenium, JUnit, JMeter, Postman, Puppeteer and similar frameworks.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Experience with mobile app testing is a plus.
• Experience with cross-platform automated integration testing is a plus.
• Experience with RDBMS scripting is a plus.
