Job summary

Octave is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the InConcert AI team in Hyderabad. You will build production-grade LLM-powered agentic systems, including RAG/GraphRAG retrieval pipelines and document intelligence workflows over engineering data.

Beyond LLMs, you’ll work on classical ML/DL tasks such as vision for engineering drawings and predictive modelling, in a hybrid work setup with collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of Python development experience with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building LLM applications in production environments.
• Hands-on with agentic frameworks and MCP.
• Experience with cloud/container environments (Docker, Kubernetes); Azure preferred.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
• Strong communication to explain trade-offs and collaborate with stakeholders.

• Agent skills and MCP integrations
• Build and optimize retrieval pipelines, including:
• Chunking and embedding strategies
• Hybrid search systems
• Knowledge graphs and GraphRAG approaches
• Ensure LLM quality and reliability, including:
• Evaluation datasets and benchmarking
• Regression testing
• Human-in-the-loop validation
• Industrialize AI solutions under enterprise constraints:
• Cost and latency optimization
• Security, governance, and data sovereignty
• Observability and guardrails
• Lead proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and feasibility studies and collaborate with stakeholders
• Contribute to broader ML/DL initiatives as required
• Drive AI-first development practices, leveraging agent-based coding tools to:
• Accelerate development workflows
• Maintain agent-friendly code, specs, and issue definitions
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLMs, agents, and GenAI ecosystems, and share knowledge across the organization

Education / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years of Python development experience, including:
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience building LLM applications in production environments
• Hands-on experience with:
• Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, PydanticAI, OpenAI Agents SDK)
• Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Expertise in RAG architectures:
• Vector databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Azure AI Search)
• Embeddings and re-ranking techniques
• Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks:
• Automated evaluation pipelines
• Handling non-deterministic systems
• Experience deploying AI solutions in:
• Cloud/container environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Azure experience preferred
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools:
• GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar
• Strong communication skills with the ability to:
• Explain technical trade-offs
• Collaborate with business and product stakeholders
