Job summary

SKIDATA in Bengaluru seeks an experienced software leader to drive end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade solutions. You’ll design, implement, and maintain microservices-based systems, coordinate with onsite and offshore teams, mentor engineers, and ensure security and quality across the stack.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in CS, with REST APIs, .NET, Angular, CI/CD, and cloud experience. This is a senior role within a global ASSA ABLOY group environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in CS with 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with microservices architectures and enterprise-grade apps.
• Proficient in REST APIs, SOLID, and design patterns; familiar with monitoring/logging stacks.
• Hands-on in Angular, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes; cloud experience preferred.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and OAuth/OpenID Connect.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Code, design, execute, and take complete responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of software projects/products.
• Work with business groups to outline project deliverables and manage the roadmap of R&D initiatives.
• Work with Technical Relationship Managers, Product Owners, and Architects to understand client-initiated R&D requests.
• Act as a point of contact for managing and driving production defects to resolution.
• Tailor processes to help manage time-sensitive issues and bring them to appropriate closure.
• Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to defining technical architecture.
• Engage and guide a team of highly talented technologists and mentor junior engineers in their professional growth.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and software engineering best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, automation, performance, and scalability.

REQUIREMENTS

An Engineering Bachelor's Degree (BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent) in Computer Science with at least 10+ years of software development experience.

Technical Skills

• Additionally, candidates must have worked with at least one database such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Strong experience in designing and developing Microservices-based architectures and enterprise-grade applications.
• Proven experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of REST APIs, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, debugging techniques, and logging frameworks such as ELK, Serilog, Splunk, or equivalent.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in Angular (latest versions) are preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent is preferred.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is highly preferred.
• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis is an added advantage.
• Exposure to authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT is preferred.

Professional Skills

• Demonstrated track record of end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Previous experience in providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews across teams.
• Strong background in software engineering best practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment processes.
• Strong technology acumen with knowledge of software design, architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
• Ability to advocate, influence, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Must have worked in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
