SKIDATA is a global leader in access solutions for sports, entertainment, and mobility, combining long-term reliability with cutting-edge innovation through the hybrid integration of hardware and software across IoT, cloud, and mobility technologies, delivered via multi-cultural engineering collaboration between Austria and global teams - and we're now looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Bangalore and help shape the future of intelligent access systems.

What You’ll Do

• Own End-to-End Delivery: Code, design, execute, and take full responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of software projects and products.
• Shape the R&D Roadmap: Partner with business stakeholders to define project deliverables and manage the roadmap of R&D initiatives.
• Bridge Client Needs: Collaborate with Technical Relationship Managers and Architects to translate client-initiated R&D requests into robust solutions.
• Drive Issue Resolution: Act as the go-to point of contact for managing and driving production defects through to resolution.
• Streamline Critical Processes: Tailor processes to manage time-sensitive issues and bring them to swift, effective closure.

In this role, you'll take real ownership of the products that keep the world's access systems running smoothly. You'll work alongside a talented, collaborative team where your technical expertise directly shapes outcomes for our clients, and where continuous learning and growth are part of everyday work.

What You Bring

• Engineering bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent) in Computer Science
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong working knowledge of Java 8+, ORM, and Spring Boot, with experience in a testing framework such as JUnit or Cypress
• Practical experience with at least one relational database (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, strong debugging skills, and experience with log frameworks such as ELK
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Docker/Kubernetes, and knowledge of a message queue such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, is a plus
• Demonstrated track record delivering enterprise-grade software end-to-end, including providing technical guidance to others
• Strong background in continuous integration practices, with excellent analytical, reasoning, and communication skills
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to advocate for and influence multiple stakeholders
• Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to work well in and across teams
