Join us!We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager for Search Infrastructure within Autodesk Platform Services. In this role, you will help to build modern and scalable Search Platform that powers the search experiences across Autodeskʼs Industry Clouds – Fusion, Forma and Flow.As an ideal candidate, you have led teams developing scalable cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to nurture talent, develop/advocate best practices, foster open communication, and provide guidance and mentoring for effective and high-performing teams to deliver high-quality solutions to their customers.ResponsibilitiesLead Key Business Outcome / Initiatives. Accountable for one or more large scale key results.Lead and contribute to development of company objectives and long term strategy of the servicesLead the design, development and operations of highly scalable, distributed, data intensive micro-servicesDrive resiliency best practicesCollaborate with Architects, Product Managers and other stakeholders to drive business outcomes.Ensure timely delivery of high quality software meeting customer needsAs a leader, inspire, motivate and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity and efficiencyMentor team members to develop their careers and to achieve individual successHire, develop and mentor top engineering talentEnhance engineering efficiency; observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvementManage the unknowns and help teams manage through the uncertaintiesDrive customer-centricity and engineering excellence in teamsMinimum Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience15+ years of hands on experience in the industry involving designing and developing cloud scale and highly available server applications and services5+ years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing development teams, or other similar leadership roles (managing cross-functional team members from Software Engineers to Principal Engineers to Architects)Strong Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and data managementExceptional proficiency in Java or similar programming languageExpertise in Cloud Infrastructure platforms such as AWSExperience developing large, highly scalable, available and resilient distributed cloud data systemsExperience managing senior level engineering talent and geo distributed teamsExperience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for successPreferred QualificationsExposure to Information Retrieval with hands on experience in Lucene/ElasticSearch/OpenSearchExposure to Vector Databases and ML InfrastructureExperience in monitoring and improving reliability of a complex system at scale.Aware of Security and Compliance challenges in Cloud products and/or platformsThe Ideal CandidateStrong communicator.
