Job summary

Google in Bengaluru seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple teams working on storage and cloud infrastructure. You will guide technical strategy, drive delivery across sites, and mentor engineers to grow their skills while delivering high-impact projects at scale.

You will partner with product, infra, and security teams to design robust storage solutions, optimize performance, and ensure reliable operation across Google Cloud services, with a focus on scalability and quality.

Qualifications

• Design and guide systems designs within scope and write product or system development code to solve problems.
• Review code developed by other engineers and ensure best practices and quality.

In this role, you will build high-performance storage clients that runs on virtualized and bare-metal environments, ensuring every Google Compute Engine Virtual Machine (VM) has the storage it needs to thrive.

• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
