Job Summary

Manages and implements software engineering projects, ensuring conformance with plans, policies, procedures, budgets, and schedules. Provides technical consultation and leads teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of required hardware resources, software, and tools for each project.
• Carry out analysis, design, development, and testing of software using appropriate tools.
• Coordinate activities of software engineering staff, establish work goals, and allocate resources.
• Plan, lead, and track work activities of software project staff.
• Motivate, delegate, coach, and train subordinates.
• Supervise day‑to‑day development of assigned project work.
• Guide teams in performing testing to ensure quality delivery.
• Ensure achievement of schedules and budgets.
• Manage software engineering metrics and conduct code reviews.
• From inception to completion, plan, manage, track, and improve all software system development.
• Conduct in‑house training and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor team members to continually improve performance.
• Manage recruitment activities, annual performance reviews, time‑sheet approval, and holiday requests.
• Act as an advisor regarding tasks, projects, and operations.
• Oversee daily operations to meet schedules and resolve complex problems.
• Participate in company‑wide Continuous Process Improvement teams.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques.
• Communicate clearly and effectively across locations.
• Ensure quality of software deliverables and accuracy to specifications.
• Support departmental projects/tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
• Step in to perform any team member’s duties when necessary.
• Suggest ideas to improve effectiveness, morale, and satisfaction.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
• Support bids, proposals, and customer variation requests.
• Keep abreast of software engineering developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of eight years of related experience.
• Proven experience handling a team of 8–10 members.
• Track record of leading teams and projects to meet milestones and objectives.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft technology stack (C#, WPF, Web APIs, XAML, MS SQL Server).
• Experience with .NET Core/.NET 5+, Entity Framework, LINQ, RESTful services, and asynchronous programming.
• Front‑end experience (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with Angular/React.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud platforms, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins), version control (Git, TFS), and testing frameworks (MSTest, NUnit, xUnit).
• Sound understanding of the software development life cycle and excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Effective decision maker with accountability for decisions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, pragmatic, and capable of motivating others.
• Ability to travel and occasionally work at other company sites.
