Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Software Engineering Lead - Java FSE to design and develop cloud-native applications.

You will work with Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Java, Spring Boot, React JS, and contribute to secure, scalable healthcare technology solutions, with responsibilities across CI/CD, DevSecOps, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in full‑stack software engineering and application development.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and cloud‑native application architectures.
• Experience delivering data‑driven solutions using Snowflake, DBT, and semantic data models.
• Solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and React JS.
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API integrations, and modern engineering patterns.
• Solid knowledge of secure software development, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.

• Establish CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and operational excellence practices across the platform.
• Comply with contractual terms, policies and directives related to changes in work locations or teams.

Role Summary

Design and development of modern cloud-native applications and data platforms leveraging Azure, Java, Spring Boot, React JS, Snowflake, and DBT. This is a hands‑on role engineering responsibilities to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare technology solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable full‑stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React JS, and Azure cloud services
• Build and integrate modern data solutions leveraging Snowflake, DBT, and semantic layer architectures
• Coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support
• Collaborate with product, architecture to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Drive application security, vulnerability remediation, dependency management, and platform risk mitigation efforts
• Establish CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and operational excellence practices across the platform
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re‑assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in full‑stack software engineering and application development
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and cloud‑native application architectures
• Experience delivering data‑driven solutions using Snowflake, DBT, and semantic data models
• Solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and React JS
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API integrations, and modern engineering patterns
• Solid knowledge of secure software development, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
• Healthcare domain knowledge, including experience with regulated data environments and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to AI/ML‑powered applications and modern data platforms
