Job summary

Pepsico in Gurugram invites a senior Software Engineering & Application Architecture Associate Principal Engineer to lead one scrum team and own architecture, design, development, testing, and test automation of key features.

You will build scalable microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud; manage service discovery, API gateways, and circuit breakers; and drive event-driven integration using Kafka and messaging queues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Implement distributed patterns including service discovery, API gateways, and circuit breakers.
• Develop event-driven integration with Kafka or messaging queues.
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
• Develop autonomous agents with task automation and reasoning loops.
• Orchestrate multi-agent workflows and prompt chaining.
• Integrate RAG architectures and vector databases (Azure AI Search) with Java backends.
• Connect to LLM providers securely via REST APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face).
• Monitor agent behavior, latency, and failure rates in production.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate testing and streamline deployments.

Overview

Responsible AIQ NA/Canada/Mexico and some of the global features

Manages one scrum team of six employees and six contractors and responsible for architecture, design, development , testing ,test automation of the features assigned

Responsibilities

• Design Build Services- Create scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Implement Distributed Patterns - Manage service discovery, API gateways, and circuit breakers.
• Event-Driven Integration - Connect services using message brokers like Kafka or messaging queues.
• Containerization Deployment - Deploy and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
• Develop Autonomous Agents - Build intelligent agents capable of task automation, reasoning loops (like ReAct), and decision-making.
• Orchestrate Workflows - Set up multi-agent collaboration patterns, routing, and prompt chaining.
• Vector RAG Integration - Integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search) with Java backends.
• API Connectivity - Link LLM providers (OpenAI, Hugging Face) securely via REST APIs
• Track agent behaviors, system latency, and failure rates in production environments.
• Partner with DevOps teams to automate testing and streamline deployments
