Job summary

Trintech is seeking a Software Engineer Technical Lead to guide a software development team, defining architecture, technologies, and delivering scalable multi‑tier SaaS/on‑premise solutions.

You will mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and participate in design, development, and code reviews while driving agile process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years building enterprise applications in C#/.NET.
• 5+ years building and consuming Web services with C#.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle and query tuning.
• Strong design skills in OO, SOLID and distributed architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, observability and modern SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to solve complex technical challenges, ensuring scalable, maintainable, high-performing solutions.
• Lead technical design to ensure products are scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.
• Troubleshoot production and database performance issues.

We are looking to hire a superstar Software Engineer Technical Lead responsible for guiding a software development team through technical execution, including defining architecture, selecting technologies, and delivering high-quality, scalable multi-tier SaaS/on-premise solutions. Acting as both a technical expert and hands‑on developer, the Technical Lead mentors team members, ensures adherence to coding standards and quality practices, and actively participates in design, development, and code reviews. Collaborating closely with cross‑functional product teams, this role drives continuous improvement in agile methodologies, development processes, and engineering best practices, ensuring consistent, reliable, and maintainable software delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide leadership in solving complex technical challenges, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and high performing.
• Troubleshoot complex production and database performance issues.
• Lead technical design efforts to ensure products are scalable, reliable, secure, and high‑performing.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Support, Security, Operations, and customer‑facing teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and customer needs.
• Contribute to organization‑wide engineering standards, architectural governance, and shared frameworks.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.
• Proactively identify and drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, workflows, and long‑term technical strategy.
• Support product roadmap discussions by providing technical insight and helping translate customer and business requirements into sustainable architectural solutions.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• 5+ years of experience developing and consuming Web services using C#.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database development, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, and software architecture patterns.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity and troubleshooting workflows.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and modern SDLC practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in distributed, cross-functional engineering environments.
