Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Sr Dashboard Developer to design, build, and optimize marketing analytics dashboards using Tableau and ThoughtSpot. You will translate campaign data into actionable KPIs and insights, collaborating with analytics, marketing, and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong SQL and BigQuery skills, experience with Google Cloud analytics, and the ability to deliver scalable data solutions across multiple marketing programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform with focus on analytics (BigQuery).
  • Proven experience delivering consumer marketing dashboards for enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, metrics, and BI reporting.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including querying large datasets; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards on modern cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with marketing data sources (Google Analytics, Klaviyo, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing concepts and funnel analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Position Overview:

As a Sr Dashboard Developer, we are looking for someone with strong experience in data visualization, dashboard design, and analytics using Tableau and ThoughtSpot. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL, understands modern cloud data platforms, and excels at translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

You will work closely with our internal teams and technology partners to deliver comprehensive and scalable marketing data and analytics solutions. This role offers the unique opportunity toengage in many technology platformsin a rapidly evolving marketing technology landscape.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’sin Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 3 to 5yearsof experience in data engineering or related roles
  3. Strongunderstanding of Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on analytics and reporting environments (e.g.,BigQuery).
  4. Proven experience delivering consumer marketing dashboards and analytical insights for enterprise stakeholders.
  5. Strong knowledge of data modeling, metrics definition, and analytics platforms used for business intelligence and reporting.
  6. Advanced experience with SQL, including querying large, complex datasets; familiarity with NoSQL concepts is a plus.
  7. Hands-on experience building dashboards on top of modern cloud data warehouses such asBigQuery.
  8. Familiarity with marketing data sources and tools, including platforms such as Google Analytics,Blueconic, Klaviyo, and similar systems.
  9. Strong understanding of performance marketing concepts, including targeting and segmentation, A/B testing, attribution, and funnel analysis.
  10. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate data into insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  11. Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset, with experience partnering across marketing, analytics, and technology teams.
  12. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  13. Experience working in Agile development environments, collaborating through iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
