Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third‑party applications across the MFG Application Development Team. You will demonstrate strong software engineering principles throughout the development life cycle.

Required skills include full‑stack development with OO design, C#, C++, .NET, WebAPI, RESTful services, SQL/MySQL, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Hands-on full-stack software development with OO design fundamentals.
• Experience with C#, C++, .NET, WebAPI, RESTful services.
• Scripting with Perl, Python, PowerShell.
• Database expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL; performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, DevOps, Agile/Scrum.
• Cloud: AWS and Azure.
• CI/CD pipelines and Git/TFS.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, OpenShift.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Apply robust software engineering practices across requirements, design, implementation, testing, documentation and support.
• Switch between technologies to deliver optimal solutions and integrate them.

You will demonstrate good software engineering principles in all aspects of the development life cycle including the analysis of software requirements, specifications, research, design, document, maintenance, and support. You must have shown ability to build quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts to minimize negative impact resulting from defects, downtime, or performance degradation. You must demonstrate the functional and technical skills vital to switch between various development technologies and merge them to provide the best solution.

Required Skill

• Hands‑on experience with full‑stack software development with strong fundamentals in Core Programming and Object‑Oriented Design.
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Programming languages / technologies: C#, C++, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, ADO.NET, WebAPI, RESTful services
• Scripting languages: Perl, Python, PowerShell
• Database environments: MS SQL Server, MySQL (experience with performance tuning and query optimization preferred)
• Others: Design Patterns, DevOps, Agile/Scrum
• Prior architecture and technical ownership experience is a plus
• Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (build, release, and deployment automation)
• Source Control: GIT, TFS
• Windows' environment – Windows Desktop, Windows Server, IIS
• Unix environment – Linux (RHEL), Apache Web Server
• Familiarity with technologies - Microservices, Containers, OpenShift etc.
• Familiarity with modern web UI development frameworks and responsive design principles
• Hands‑on experience using Generative AI tools and Agentic AIs to support software development, debugging, testing, or productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)

• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban
• Familiar with DevOps principles
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., copilots or agents) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem solving, while following responsible and secure AI usage practices.
