Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive AI integration across core PLM and ERP workflows. You will architect end-to-end data flows, design secure integration patterns, and guide teams across Europe and India.

Lead the deployment of containerized AI services, establish MLOps best practices, and collaborate with product managers to translate complex business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Principal Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with C++ (5+ years).
• Experience with AI tools, models, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and integration of AI capabilities into core workflows and architecture.
• Design robust, scalable, secure integration solutions and data pipelines using AIG and enterprise patterns.
• Architect end-to-end data flows and middleware integrations connecting Teamcenter, SAP/ERP, and third-party systems.
• Drive technical execution, set coding and design standards, conduct code reviews, guide a geographically distributed team.
• Architect and maintain cloud-native solutions with Docker, Kubernetes for scalable AI services.
• Establish best practices for MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and RAG pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers and R&D leadership to translate requirements into AI-centric technical solutions.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• : Lead the design and integration of AI capabilities (Generative AI, LLMs, and data-driven AI models) directly into core enterprise workflows and architecture.
• : Design robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions and data pipelines using Siemens Active Integration (AIG) and enterprise integration patterns.
• : Architect end-to-end data flows and middleware integrations connecting Teamcenter (PLM), SAP/ERP, and third-party enterprise or software systems.
• : Drive technical execution, define coding and design standards, conduct high-level code reviews, and guide a high-performing engineering team based across multiple geographies (Germany and India).
• : Architect and maintain cloud-native solutions using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure scalable, secure, and high-availability deployment of AI and data services.
• : Establish best practices for MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• : Collaborate with product managers, R&D leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into elegant, AI-centric technical solutions.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• : 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Principal Engineering capacity. 5+ years hands on experience with C++
• Candidates with Teamcenter experience will have an added advantage.
• AI & Data Proficiency:
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools, frameworks (PyTorch, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Hugging Face APIs), and vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Qdrant).
• Strong foundation in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and handling large-scale enterprise data.
• : Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• : Experience building robust integration frameworks and middleware (API-first design, REST/GraphQL, event-driven architectures).
• : Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, with a proven ability to lead technical discussions and align distributed teams (Europe/India).
