Job summary

HARMAN Automotive is seeking an experienced SAP IBP Engineer to implement and integrate SAP IBP with ECC/S/4HANA. You will serve as a Product Owner, defining and delivering digital planning applications to support SIOP/SIOE processes.

The role requires hands-on SAP IBP expertise, CPI-DS/SDI integrations, and strong stakeholder management. Travel up to 20% and a hybrid work model are expected.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Engineer with strong functional and technical expertise in implementing and integrating SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. This role is critical to delivering scalable, high‑performance digital supply chain solutions that drive value for our global customers. The role also serves as a Product Owner, responsible for defining, designing, and delivering digital products (applications) that support SIOP/SIOE planning processes. This position partners closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and cross‑functional partners to ensure products deliver measurable value and meet business requirements.The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with SAP IBP modules (Demand, Supply, Inventory, and Control Tower), CPI‑DS/SDI integrations, and a strong passion for solving complex business problems through digital planning transformations.

What You Will Do

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs.
• Develop test scenarios and support testing to ensure solutions meet functional and quality expectations.
• Serve as an embedded member of a Scrum team, supporting developers and testers throughout each sprint.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring readiness for sprint planning and refinement.
• Validate that delivered features provide measurable business value and align with the overall product vision.
• Support development teams during build, testing, deployment, and hyper care phases.
• Maintain product documentation, workflows, and release notes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Be Successful

• 6+ years of total SAP experience, including 5+ years of hands‑on SAP IBP experience.
• Strong experience with SAP IBP modules, particularly Demand, Supply, and Inventory.
• Proficiency in integrating SAP IBP with ECC and/or S/4HANA using CPI‑DS, SDI, or CI‑DS.
• In‑depth understanding of supply chain planning processes, including forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization.
• Ability to configure planning areas, key figures, attributes, time profiles, and master data.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP IBP Excel UI and Fiori Launchpad.
• Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solution designs.
• Experience working with enterprise applications, data flows, and system behaviour.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• SAP IBP certification.
• Exposure to SAP APO, SNP, BW, or other legacy planning tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or CPG domains.
• Knowledge of data modeling, analytics, or reporting within SAP IBP.

• This position requires up to 20% of travel.
• Be willing to work in Bangalore, INDIA.
• Willingness to work flexible hours aligned with client time zones
• This position operates within the standard 9-to-5 working hours adjusted to the client’s time zone. However, these hours are subject to modification based on evolving project needs
