Job summary

Cisco Meraki is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to drive automated testing and scalable infrastructure projects. You will partner with product and platform teams to design, implement, and deploy automation solutions across cloud services and networking platforms.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Ruby/Python, Kubernetes, and modern automation tools; experience with CI/CD, UI testing, and cloud services is essential for delivering reliable, scalable systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation and testing.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Terraform, GIT, and AWS services (RDS, DynamoDB).
• Expertise in networking domain and automation frameworks.
• Proficient in Python scripting and UI automation using Selenium/Robot Framework.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders across business units on high-profile projects and rapid prototyping.
• Architect scalable, extensible systems and solve complex problems.
• Coordinate with cross-BU teams on Secure Connect E2E solutions and new features.
• Own concepts to production release by influencing and coordinating with teams.
• Partner with Product Managers, UX designers, and front-end engineers to simplify customer workflows.
• Add tests, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system quality.

Your Impact

• Work closely with leaders in the networking industry on a high-profile project that includes collaboration across business units, rapid prototyping, and integration into production
• Solve challenging architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems
• Work with cisco’s cross BU to handle Cisco Secure Connect E2E solutions and adding new features for Secure connect
• Take complete ownership from conception to production release by leveraging your ability to influence, facilitate, and work collaboratively across teams
• Work closely with Product Managers, UX designers, and front-end engineers to develop simplified workflows for our customers
• Ensure the quality of these systems by adding tests, monitoring, and alerting systems

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation
• Hands-on experience with languages and technologies including Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Terraform, GIT, and several AWS services like RDS and DynamoDB.
• Expertise in networking domain
• Hands on experience on writing complex automation framework using python or other scripting languages
• Hands on experience on doing UI automation using Selenium/robot framework
• Good debugging skills
• Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud
• Able to test & automate end to end solutions, scale level tests using python or any available framework
• Hands on experience on automation and manual testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment (Scrum.)
• Personal projects or contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with Cypress
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) systems
• Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies
