Onit is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Onit XAppBuilder Platform Development team in Pune. You will contribute to backend services, APIs, and features that power our Legal Tech products, with a focus on building scalable, reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

You should have 2+ years of web development experience, strong JavaScript and React skills, and experience with Ruby on Rails, SQL (PostgreSQL), AWS, and containerization.

• 2+ years of experience using current language(s) for web development.
• Experience with front-end development and technologies including JavaScript and React is required.
• Dynamic languages such as Ruby on Rails.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of SQL language and relational databases; PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts; Experience with AWS, containerization and Kubernetes are highly desired.
• Demonstrated understanding of full cycle development leveraging Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work and develop in Mac/Linux environment.

As a Software Engineer at Onit, you will use your knowledge and experience as part of a team that designs and implements new features and APIs as part of the Onit XAppBuilder Platform Development team. The primary focus of this position will be on enhancing the engine that enables our Products team to build applications that we sell in the Legal Tech market. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on Back End development as well as demonstrate a willingness to learn to grow the breadth of their skills and become more of a full stack developer. The ideal candidate will understand the benefits of collaborative design and development and will be able to mentor more junior development and QA resources.

The current tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, React,JavaScriptand PostgreSQL. We deploy to AWS. We are an agile software development shop and believe in automated testing.

Responsibilities:

Skills/Qualifications:
