Job summary

Siemens Software is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team. You will design, develop, and optimize high-performance C/C++ software for simulation debug and visualization workflows, collaborating with a senior engineering group in a fast-paced environment.

You will build core debug engines, data models, and visualization backends, and develop scalable data structures to handle multi-million-signal simulations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience in C/C++, DS, algorithms, and Qt.
• Experience architecting open-ended problems and new ideas.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, with a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Strong understanding of Compiler Concepts, Optimizations, and parallel computing.
• Experience on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

Qualifications

Required:

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience with a strong background in C/C++, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Qt.
• Experience with conceptualizing, defining, architecting, and implementing an open-ended problem scope or new ideas.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, along with a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Strong understanding of Compiler Concepts, Optimizations, and parallel computing.
• Experience working on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

Preferred:

• Basic knowledge of Digital Electronics and concepts related to SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL.
• Exposure to Simulation technologies or Formal-based Verification methodologies.
