Job summary

Infor in Hyderabad is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead architecture and hands-on development of cloud-first enterprise applications. You will mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and ensure robust, scalable solutions using C++, .Net, Angular, Ext JS and DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own design decisions, and champion engineering excellence through code reviews and performance optimization across microservices, containers, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Senior or Principal software development experience.
• Experience in cloud-native application development (AWS preferred).
• Strong skills in .NET, C++, Angular, ExtJS; knowledge of C++ and .NET.
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Infor are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our high-performing product development team. You will play a critical role in the architecture, design, and development of our next-generation enterprise applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that requires deep software engineering expertise, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to building scalable, cloud-first solutions. As a Principal Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across architecture. C++, .Net, Angular, Ext JS and DevOps, driving the technical strategy and mentoring engineers to build robust, maintainable, and performant software.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise software using modern frameworks and cloud-native principles.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple teams and products.
• Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and thought leadership.
• Work closely with Development / Product Manager to align technical solutions with business requirements and customer needs.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and practices, and drive continuous innovation and improvement.
• Act as a subject matter expert on key technologies, and participate in incident response and postmortem reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience as a Senior or Principal software development.
• Experience in cloud-native application development (preferably AWS).
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as .Net, C ++, Angular, ExtJS. Sound knowledge in C++ and .Net
• Experience in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and DevOps practices
• Proficient Database skills like Oracle
• Testing experience.
• Experience with modern development process (SOLID programming, merge requests, code review).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise software for industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, or distribution.
• Database skills, both relational (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience of Jenkins , Git Hub, Kubernetes and Docker containerization
• Familiarity of data science tools and algorithms (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Prophet) for future development
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience in AI tool usage for development such as Claude or Kiro or Amazon Q
