Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking a Software Engineer for the PCP Platform (AWS Cloud) with strong IaC and cloud-native skills. You will drive platform infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative, cross-functional environment based in Bangalore, India.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in IT with Platform Engineering, DevOps, and cloud infra focus, plus hands-on AWS services and security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 6–8 years in IT with a focus on Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation for IaC and Python/TypeScript scripting.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, KMS, Route53, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Security best practices (IAM roles, KMS, Secrets Manager).
• CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Groovy, Shell, Docker).
• Code quality and security tooling (SonarQube, Checkmarx, Prisma Cloud).
• API backend (FastAPI, Flask, GraphQL) and frontend basics (NodeJS, React).
• Platform run ops: certificate mgmt, IAM governance, load balancing, FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform infrastructure deployment and automation on AWS using IaC.
• Own incidents, changes, and certificates for cloud services.
• Develop/update CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across environments.
• Ensure security compliance using SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Prisma Cloud.
• Integrate backend API platform components (FastAPI, GraphQL) and enterprise tools.
• Implement FinOps to optimize cloud spend.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform services.

You will be part of a team developing applications in the scope of an initiative named a collaborative platform supporting “Customer Line” operations and Customer relationship all along the aircraft Acceptance & Delivery process. Compliance with these policies will also protect Airbus reputation and brand, some of our most strategic and important assets.**Qualification & Experience:** ● Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 6–8 years in IT with a focus on Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure. ● Knowledge of writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK or CloudFormation (Must have). ● Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript for infrastructure automation and scripting (Must have). ● Deep hands-on experience with core AWS Services: Compute (EC2, Lambda), Storage & Security (S3, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager), Networking (VPC, Route53, API Gateway), and Databases (RDS, DynamoDB). ● Strong notions of security best practices (e.g., IAM Roles, KMS, Secrets Manager, Casbin authorization). ● Experience in CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins (Groovy), Shell scripting, Docker, Artifactory, and GitHub/GitLab management. ● Working experience with qualimetry and security scanning tools across pipelines (SonarQube, Checkmarx, Prisma Cloud). ● Experience in API stack and backend services development/support using Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and GraphQL (Graphene, Strawberry). ● Basic understanding or working knowledge of frontend frameworks (NodeJS, React, CSS). ● Experience in Platform Run operations: Certificate management, Account/IAM governance, Load Balancing, DNS management, FinOps (Cloud Cost Optimization), and Log Analysis. ● Previous exposure to Airbus ecosystem tools and platform environments: Skywise (Magritte, Ontology, Foundry), API Platform (Connector, Identity, Deploy API), corporate IAM (CorpSSO, OneLogin, Autologon), and enterprise logging using Splunk. ● Past experience with Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven designs, and Serverless approaches. ● Working experience in Agile Scrum, SAFe and/or Kanban projects. ● DevOps orientation with a sense of detail and passion for software, infrastructure automation, and technologies that solve complex problems. ● Ability to challenge the needs of the clients and provide appropriate solutions. ● Curiosity & team player attitude, with a wish to evolve with your team.**Responsibilities:** 1. Developing, updating, and using CI/CD pipelines to allow fully automated deployments of applications and infrastructure across all environments from Development, Q&A, and Production. 5. Support and integrate backend API platform components (FastAPI, GraphQL, Casbin) and enterprise tools including Airbus Skywise, API Platform, and Splunk. 7.
