Job summary

NatWest Group in Chennai, India is seeking a Software Engineer at associate level to design, develop, test and maintain high quality software and tools for customers. You’ll work in a feature team, liaising with engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform to deliver end-to-end solutions.

You’ll contribute across the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and operations, while continually improving engineering capabilities

Qualifications

• Experience of working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, database design, data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning to support efficient and scalable database solutions
• At least five years of experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, GitLab, SDLC, Data Validation, Data Migration, REST APIs, and System Integrations to contribute across the development lifecycle
• Experience in multiple programming languages or low code toolsets
• Experience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets
• A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems
• Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll need a background in software engineering, software design, and architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.
