Job summary

Nestdigital in Bengaluru (India) is seeking a Software Engineer-Linux Device Driver Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience. You will design and implement Linux kernel drivers for embedded platforms and collaborate with hardware teams to port and test drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet and display interfaces.

Applicants should have strong understanding of Linux internals, real-time Linux, and Android integration, plus experience fixing kernel crashes and contributing to open-source

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of kernel and driver development experience.
• Hands-on Linux kernel, drivers, and embedded Linux knowledge.
• Experience with kernel crashes analysis and open-source development.
• Android RT and real-time Linux knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers for embedded devices.
• Port and validate drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, Display).
• Analyze and fix kernel crashes; contribute to open-source projects.
• Ensure RT Linux compatibility and Android integration.
• Collaborate with hardware team for driver requirements.
