Job summary

GE Healthcare Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer (Java Developer) to design, build, deliver and maintain next-generation platform solutions in healthcare imaging.

You will work in an Agile environment, implement REST-based microservices with Java, and collaborate with imaging teams to extend platforms while ensuring code quality, security, and scalable deployments using Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM majors.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Maths or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in containerization technologies like Kubernetes/Docker.
• Rest based microservice development using Java.
• DICOM experience.
• BDD based automated testing using Cucumber.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software developers and imaging teams to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
• Apply Agile principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
• Build common microservices for Healthcare Imaging platform and healthcare solution using microservices architecture.
• Actively participate in grooming , PI planning, sprint reviews and demos.
• Perform Technical feasibility assessment and share outcomes that help conclude technology decisions.
• Understand performance parameters, assess application performance and address security issues.
• Ensure unit test automation using BDD and consistent code quality by adhering to SONAR quality gates.
• Activity manage formal verification and release activities.
• Coordinate with internal team members and other imaging teams for platform integration and defect fixes.

• HELM Charts, YAML, Ansible, Python, Shell scripting.
• Rest based microservice development using Java.
• DICOM experience.
