About Us

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to develop features for our VMDR Product.

You will work with a team of engineers and architects to prototype, design, develop, and support a highly scalable SaaS-based VMDR product.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a team building Qualys’ next-generation microservices-based technology platform and to work on challenging, impactful projects.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing the VMDR product in the cloud.
• Building highly scalable microservices and data processing pipelines.
• Developing Java-based microservices with clean, extensible code using appropriate design principles and patterns.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining products to process events and serve REST APIs.
• Researching and implementing new technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with Java 8.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring/Spring Boot and microservices.
• 2+ years of experience with Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Strong logical skills for code design and implementation.
• Ability to write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Experience in designing streaming applications and developing scalable solutions.
• Good knowledge of SQL, data structures, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
• Proficiency in Java 8.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Masif.
• Experience with stream processing using Kafka and related open-source tools.
