EchoStar's India development center in Bengaluru seeks a Java/J2EE developer with 2–4 years of API gateway experience to design, implement, and manage REST-based microservices on APIGEE (Edge/Apigee X). You will lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and drive automation in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS is required, with a preference for APIGEE certification.

• Engineering degree with 2-4 years of experience in application development using Java/J2EE.
• Strong in Java, Spring Boot, Linux.
• Experience in APIGEE platform (Edge/Apigee X), REST-based services or microservice development.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Experience using Kubernetes, Docker and Rancher.
• APIGEE certification preferred.
• Experience delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM.
• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with Product Owner and design/develop using APIGEE platform( Edge/Apigee X), Restful Services, data analysis, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Drive complex technical projects from planning through execution
• Provide technical hands on leadership and mentor engineers in an innovative and fast paced environment
• Successfully handle the daily challenges of the technical environment and guide the team in resolving technical issues
• Work extensively on API gateway level configuration and coding
• Perform code review and manage technical debt
• Handle release deployments and production issues
• Encourage and identify automation opportunities and implement CI/CD pipeline

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• Engineering degree with 2-4 years of experience in application development using Java/ J2EE technologies.
• Strong in Java, Spring/ Spring Boot, Linux
• Experience in designing and developing using APIGEE platform( Edge/Apigee X), REST based services / MicroService development
• Experience to AWS, CI/CD, DevOps
• Experience using container management tools such as Kubernetes , Docker and Rancher
• APIGEE certification is preferred
• Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies.
• Candidate should have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
